Only last week, it was announced that Tovino Thomas would play the leading antagonist. This Malayalam is one among the popular faces in the industry. He made his debut in 2012 and seven years later, he has gone on to become a bankable star. As for Dhanush, he will return as the don with a gaudy sense of style and a silliness about him . In fact, in an interview with BT, Dhanush had revealed that his role in Maari was one of his favourites – “My favourite is a Tamil film, Maari, that I did a cou ple of years ago. “I played a notorious don, who beats up everybody and bosses them around. However, there was certain silliness and playfullness about him. We all have some notions about gangsters, but this film broke all such stereotypes. I wore shirts with flower pat terns and John Lennon sun glasses.” Maari fared phenomenally at the box office depsite its negative reviews.

While he begins shooting for this alreayd exciting project, we can’t wait to catch a glimpse of his first Hollywood movie – The Extraordinary Journey of a Fakir or a first look from his next film – Vada Chennai.

So, what do you think of the new pair? Yay or Nay?
