When fast food meets fast fashion, the combination has to be fiery and that is what Taco Bell and Forever 21 are aiming to bring to the table, as evident from the sneak- peek of their first collection. One of the pieces is a pink pullover sweatshirt with a ”Live Mas” logo embroidered on it, modelled by Andrew McBurnie. The other is a tank top worn by model Brittany Creech, which takes its inspiration from a packet of fire sauce. So far, the line which will be launched on October 11 has introduced only two pieces.
Taco Bell says it will include tops, bodysuits, cropped and regular hoodies, sweatshirts, and anorak jackets in their collection. According to the press release, the pieces are “updated with pops of colour and distinctive illustrations that effortlessly bring the heat.”
The brands announced their collaboration via ”castingcells” and encouraged fans to post videos and photos on their social media with the tag #F21xTacoBell.
Restaurants and fast food chains have collaborated with clothing giants before to widen their customer base. Pizza Hut is one such brand which sells its own hoodies, baseball caps and T-shirts. McDonald’s too has an online Big Mac Shop that sells boots, leggings and raincoats inspired by the Golden Arches.
