Firangi Teaser Poster: Kapil Sharma’s second film stays true to its name; features the Union Jack

Kapil Sharma‘s much-awaited film Firangi’s teaser poster is finally out. Staying true to its name, it features the national flag of the United Kingdom in the initials of the film’s name but if the proportion is of any indication then it promises to be more of an earthy affair. Although it was a bit disappointing to not see the actor-comedian on the poster, it has definitely left his fans excited. The poster was re-tweeted by the film’s actress Ishita Dutta and Kapil’s sweet-heart Ginni Chatrath.

Firangi is a story of a small-town boy played by Kapil who falls for an NRI girl, Monica Gill. Ishita also plays a significant part in the film. Directed by Rajiev Dhingra, the movie is slated to release on November 10.

Kapil was often seen talking about the film on his popular show, The Kapil Sharma Show. He conducted a twitter chat with his fans a few days ago, where he was seen promoting the film in full swing. While answering one of his fans’ queries, he hinted at lending his voice to the unplugged version of a song in his movie. Kapil, who is also producing the film, shed a lot of kilos to play his part. Because of the film been extensively shot in Punjab and Rajasthan, Kapil had a tough time shuttling between his film and TKSS’ sets. Apart from his deteriorating health, this was one of the reasons why he had to pull curtains on his show, as he wanted to pay full attention to his film’s promotions.

Firangi is not his debut movie. He first starred in Abbas Mustan’s film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, which couldn’t do wonders at the box office. After having shut his show, Firangi’s success has become all the more crucial for Kapil. We hope the film helps him revive his career.
